Corporal Frank Finden
Born in 1879, Frank Finden lived in Portsmouth and married Eleanor Ventham in 1907, becoming a stepfather. During World War I, he enlisted in the Hampshire Regiment's 15th (Service) Battalion, a "Portsmouth Pals" unit, and rose to Corporal. He deployed to the Western Front in 1916 and was killed in action on October 7, 1916, during the Battle of the Somme near Le Sars. He is buried at Warlencourt British Cemetery in France.
